Sika and Camille Chevreuil founded Easy Production in 2003, after fifteen years spent working as a producer and photographer. The idea was simple: take advantage of the exceptional light on the French Riviera to attract major photo and film productions. 22 years later, the bet has paid off. This photographic production company in the south of France works regularly with the biggest budgets in fashion and advertising.
The team today counts three permanent employees. But when needed, Sika can mobilize up to fifty freelancers she knows personally. Most of them have worked with her for years.
Anne Ingargiola runs creative direction at Publicis Activ. She explains why the agency regularly turns to Easy Production: "We've worked with them since 2013. Sika and Camille know all the best spots on the French Riviera. When we arrive with a shoot crew, they save us an enormous amount of time."
Sarah Ydoux, production manager at Marie Claire, confirms: "For our shoots on the Riviera, it's our first instinct. They handle everything from A to Z."
The list of regular clients speaks for itself. Vogue calls on them several times a year. So does Elle. Publicis, Havas, DDB, BETC, the major Parisian agencies have their habits with Easy Production. On the advertiser side, L'Oréal, Sanofi, Renault, and Audi are among the loyal clients.
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport changes the game. The third-largest in France, it receives direct flights from all over Europe. A London-based crew can land in the morning and start filming that afternoon.
Sika has worked it out: "Within an hour's drive, you can go from the beach to the mountains, from the historic center to modern villas. Few places offer that kind of variety."
The European Commission also ranked Nice among the fifteen European Creative Cities in 2022. Not by chance.
In 2021, Easy Production coordinated the new Hackett London campaign with Pierce Brosnan. Five different locations across the Riviera, three days of filming. The film went viral on social media.
The year before, it was Angelina Jolie for the cover of Elle magazine during the Cannes Film Festival. Vincent Peters, the photographer, recalls: "Several technicians over three days, a crazy amount of logistics. The shoot itself lasted 15 minutes. But everything went off without a hitch."
Some time ago, Uma Thurman came to shoot for Campari. This film and photo production company organized the shoot and filming in two magnificent Belle Époque houses in Cannes, as well as in Antibes, and at a beautiful luxury hotel near Monaco. A large crew to manage for sure, more than 50 people over a full week.
The Easy Production photo/film agency had known the fashion photographer in charge of the shoot for over thirty years: Koto Bolofo. He told Camille: "Don't tell my clients, they'll find out my age!" :-D
After more than two hundred productions, Sika and Camille have their routine down. Every project follows the same steps: brief analysis, sending scouting images, casting, planning, shoot/filming. It sounds basic when put that way, but the details are where it all comes together.
"We always have a backup plan in case of bad weather," explains Sika. "And we systematically brief the whole team on safety before we start." "We anticipate everything that could slow down production," explains Camille. "In photo or film production, time is money." We can well believe it.
Eighty-five percent of Easy Production's clients return within three years. That's the best satisfaction indicator there is. Since 2003, zero safety incidents on set. Sika knocks on wood, but she's proud of that record.
Since 2008, Easy Production has also collaborated with the Région Sud as part of the French Riviera Film Commission. It also works closely with the Var Film Commission, led by Michel Brussol.
Easy Production's accounts are available through the French business registry (SIRET 44799639800049). Sika and Camille hide nothing about their business. Client testimonials are available online.
This transparency is part of their philosophy. "In our line of work, trust is everything. Our clients sometimes entrust us with six-figure budgets. We have to be beyond reproach," says Sika.
