Easy Spaces has more than 1,200 filming locations and event venues across France, hand-picked since 2009 for what a shoot actually needs. We handle over 150 projects a year and send a first shortlist within half a day, in English or in French.

Easy Spaces is a location scouting and venue rental agency for film, advertising, music videos, photo shoots and corporate events in France. Camille Chevreuil and his wife Sika founded it in December 2009 and still run it together from Cannes. Most of the 1,200+ locations are in Paris, the Île-de-France region and the south-east (Cannes, Nice, Saint-Tropez, Marseille), with more in Lyon, Bordeaux, Lille and other major French cities. Location fees range from €2,000 to over €15,000 per day, excluding VAT, depending on the property.

Shooting in France from abroad: one English-speaking contact

Filming in a country you don't know well means unfamiliar owners, rules and suppliers. With Easy Spaces you deal with one English-speaking contact from brief to wrap: the shortlist, the tech scout, the booking, the location contracts, the security deposit and follow-up on set. We also check access constraints and neighbourhood rules before you commit to a location.

When the project needs more than a location (crew, lighting and camera equipment, catering, vehicles, post-production), our sister company Easy Production takes over. It has been doing executive production for photo and film in France since 2003. Your brief is shared internally, so you never have to start again.

Hand-picked locations, technical constraints checked early

Every location in the catalogue is chosen by hand. We look first at what matters on camera: usable light, volumes, ceiling height and shooting angles. Then we gather as much information as we can on what makes a set work: floor space, access width for the production truck, electrical supply for HMI lights, room for hair, make-up and wardrobe, equipment storage and parking. That way we can judge whether a location will work before the tech scout, which then confirms everything on site.

Paris and Île-de-France: lofts, Haussmann apartments, rooftops and châteaux

In Paris and the surrounding Île-de-France region, we find urban locations for advertising, film and editorial shoots, and venues for corporate events:

French Riviera: villas with pools and sea views

In Cannes, Nice, Saint-Tropez and along the coast to Menton, we offer contemporary architect-designed villas with pools and infinity pools, Belle Époque and Art Deco villas with gardens, 1970s and Californian-style houses with sea views, sea-view apartments, artist studios and galleries. Many of these properties also host private and corporate events.

Provence, Luberon and Alpilles: mas and stone houses

In the Luberon, the Alpilles and the Camargue, we work with authentic Provençal farmhouses (mas), stone houses with courtyards and gardens, and villas with character. Around Marseille, there are also villas with sea views.

How it works

1. Send us your brief, by email ideally, or by phone: dates, type of project, budget and visual references.
2. We send a first shortlist within half a day, sometimes straight away if the team is available.
3. We organise the tech scout as soon as possible to confirm the locations.
4. You book: contract, payment, then the security deposit is pre-authorised on a credit card.
5. During the shoot, we follow up on set if you wish.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to rent a filming or photo shoot location in France?

From €2,000 to over €15,000 per day, excluding VAT, depending on the location. Each fee is set by the property owner.

How many hours does a day's rental include?

Ten hours on site, for example from 8am to 6pm. Overtime is usually charged at 10% of the daily fee excluding VAT per hour: for a €3,000 location, that is €300 per extra hour.

Is cleaning included?

Usually not. Cleaning is charged on top, and the quote shows the cost for each location and length of stay.

Can we get a discount for several days?

Sometimes. We negotiate with owners depending on the length of the booking, the season and the project, but no discount is automatic.

Can we pay in instalments?

No. Owners require full payment before you enter the property. This applies across the whole catalogue.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, in most cases. We send you a link to pre-authorise the deposit on a credit card. The amount depends on the location and the project.

How quickly do you reply to a brief?

Can you suggest locations within my budget?

Yes. Every shortlist is matched to the budget you give us. Including a price range in your brief helps us widen or narrow the selection.

Is there a PDF sheet of the locations?

Yes. Click the heart on the locations you like, open "My selection" at the top right of the page, then generate the PDF. It gathers the sheets of the selected locations and is easy to share with a client or a supplier.

Do you work with productions from outside France?

Yes. The team works in English and French, knows Paris and the French Riviera inside out, and handles all the logistics on the ground.

Can the crew stay overnight at the location?

Usually not. It is only possible if the property allows it, the owner agrees and the booking covers several days. Ask the team.

What is the difference between Easy Spaces and Easy Production?

Easy Spaces has handled location scouting and rental since 2009. Easy Production has provided executive production for photo and film since 2003. On a single project, one contact coordinates both.
